The book arrived very quickly, and although used, is in great condition inside & out… and the price was certainly right!

It’s a good reference dictionary, although I think it is necessary to have a good copy of Bouvier’s alongside this volume. Certainly, reading the definitions of various terminology does a great job of highlighting the underhanded tom-foolery of many law professionals. I’m not a professional, but as one who is interested on a personal level with the law and its practice, this book is interesting enough to warrant the money spent.

Black’s is the authority in law, BUT this volume is too heavy to carry around. This is heavilly recommended in orientation and students rush to buy it, then it becomes a doorstop.

Black’s is available on line in WestLaw.
So, everybody buys Black’s, but very few continue to carry it around to classes, and like most other sources it is readilly available on line.
This will look nice on the shelf behind your desk when you start to practice.

This law dictionary is the standard of the industry. 4th editions are very complete but not off the chart in price like earlier ones. Ideal for constitutional and UCC issues. Newer editions keep getting smaller and have less information. This is the best, most complete and most economical of the choices available.
