No Boundaries: Transnational Latino Gangs and American Law Enforcement

This book is critical to understanding the challenges the US faces from a broken immigration policy. Diaz has done his homework. He effortlessly weaves together compelling stories about both the gang members and the law enforcemnt personnel who are having to adapt to them. His depiction of some gang members who want to get out but can’t is especially moving. And the history of how we got into this situation is fascinating reading.

I read this when it just came out and it blew me away!
Mr. Diaz brings all the pieces together in one book that we don’t see in the news; the guns, the gangs, the drugs, the border problems.
Alot of books just glance off the topics but it appears that Diaz did some digging.
Having grown up in Texas as the son of a county judge – i’ve seen some of these firsthand.
Good stuff and well written.

My friend is a Latina private investigator. She received an assignment dealing with Mexican gangs in Northern CA. She is working for the defense, because some Mexicans were arrested without good cause. She asked me to buy this book for her. Her only complaint was, the book was hard to read since the font is small. Otherwise she got a lot from reading this. She even contacted the author. If not for the font, I would have given it 5 stars.
